Refund and Return Policy
Thank you for supporting the work of Dr. Bryon L. Garner and Heritage Phenomenon, Inc. through donations and purchases. This policy describes our practices regarding refunds for charitable contributions and merchandise purchases made through drbryonlgarner.org.
Donations
We are a mission‑driven nonprofit that relies on the generosity of our donors. Because donations are immediately put to work, all contributions are considered final and nonrefundable. However, we will consider refunding a donation under exceptional circumstances, including:
- The donation was made unintentionally (e.g., using a lost or stolen credit card or without the donor’s authorization).
- You intended to donate to a different organization or accidentally selected the wrong recipient.
- You entered the wrong amount or made a duplicate donation.
- We are unable to honor the donor’s written restrictions for the use of the funds.
- Other similar exceptional situations.
Donation Refund Terms
- Time frame: Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the donation date. We cannot process refund requests received more than 30 days after the transaction, except in cases of fraud.
- Method of refund: Refunds will be returned using the original payment method. If you donated by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. You are responsible for any tax implications resulting from a refunded donation.
- Required information: To request a refund, please provide your full name, the email address used for the donation, your city and state, phone number, the date of the donation, the donation amount, payment method and the reason for the request.
How to Request a Donation Refund
To request a donation refund, please contact us at bryon@drbryonlgarner.org or complete our online contact form. We will review your request and respond within two business days. If your request is approved, we will process the refund promptly; please allow 10–14 business days for the credit to appear on your account.
Merchandise Returns (Books and Legacy Coins)
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you purchase merchandise from drbryonlgarner.org, such as books or commemorative coins, the following return policy applies:
- Return window: You may return unused and undamaged items within 30 days of the purchase date. Items must be in their original condition and packaging with all accessories. Evidence of purchase (such as an order confirmation email or receipt) is required. If you do not have a return policy, some jurisdictions may require accepting returns within 30 days.
- Return authorization: Before returning merchandise, please contact us at orders@drbryonlgarner.org to obtain a return authorization. We may request photographs or additional details about the item.
- Refund method: Approved merchandise refunds will be issued to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the returned item. Please allow 10–14 business days after we receive your return for processing.
- Shipping costs: Unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
- Exchanges: If the item is defective or damaged upon arrival, contact us within 30 days for an exchange or refund. We will cover the cost of shipping a replacement in such cases. If the exact item is no longer available, we may offer a refund or substitute product of equal value.
- Non‑returnable items: Digital downloads, personalized or custom products and opened or used items cannot be returned or refunded unless they are defective.
Refunds on Speaking Engagements and Events
Payments or deposits for speaking engagements, workshops or consulting sessions may be subject to separate terms provided at the time of booking. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options. We reserve the right to retain a portion of the fee to cover administrative expenses.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund and Return Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date below. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued support or purchase after we post changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
